Virosart Max

Virosart® Max adsorptive virus prefilters provide complete flexibility and scale according to your process to reduce total filtration costs.

Product Code: 54A8358N2

Application

Positioning: The primary application of Virosart® Max* is the protection of the final virus-retentive membrane. For this purpose, this filter is used at the end of the purification process in line with the final virus filtration step of the biopharmaceutical product. The optimized prefilter-to-final filter ratio should be determined during the development of the virus filtration step.
Working principle: Virosart® Max* combines size exclusion mechanisms with efficient adsorption capacities to improve the robustness of the downstream virus filtration step. The most challenging molecules for the final virus-retentive membrane are aggregates and | or small hydrophobic molecules. Virosart® Max binds aggregates very efficiently through hydrophobic interactions regardless of process conditions such as conductivity.

Product Benefits

Cost efficiency: The combination of size exclusion mechanisms with efficient adsorption capacities will reduce the scale of your process and lower your total virus filtration costs.
Fast setup: With its T-Style design, Virosart® Max MaxiCap® is ideal for easy installation of multiple filters in series or parallel.
Smart process transfer: The clean three-layer membrane material provides the highest adsorption capacities optimized for this process step and scalability from laboratory to process scale.
Ready to use: Sterile delivery ensures ease of use as well as quick installation of filter elements.
Ease of use: Virosart® Max is integrity-tested using a water-based diffusion test, e.g. based on Sartorius Stedim Biotech's Sartocheck® technology.
