Versatile Automated Sterile Tube Welder
The Biowelder® TC automatic welding device provides a simple, flexible, and fast solution for creating sterile connections throughout biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes. It can be used with single-use bags, single-use tubing assemblies, and unit operations.
Biowelder® TC Operating Principle
To begin using the Biowelder® TC automatic tube welder, the operator inserts the tube holders, disposable blade, and TPE tubing, then initiates the welding process through the touchscreen interface. The blade is first heated for depyrogenation and then cooled to the welding temperature using an infrared sensor that controls its temperature. After the blade cuts the tubing, the tube holder rotates, and a new sterile connection is established.
